The digestive proteases in Aminogen help break down ingested protein into individual amino acids. The amino acids are then absorbed by the body to maintain and repair damaged cells, muscle tissue, and organs.
With traditional protein supplements, much of the protein goes through the digestive system without being broken down into amino acids. Processing techniques such as spray drying and pressurized microfiltration hinder the body’s ability to properly break down and digest protein.
The digestive tract cannot absorb protein if it is not first broken down into individual amino acids. With nowhere else to go, the unused protein is excreted from the body…a waste of otherwise useful protein.
Protein supplements often direct customers to ingest extremely large serving sizes to account for the body’s failure to utilize most of the protein. Odds are that with huge scoops of protein, your body will break down more protein and absorb more amino acids. However, gastrointestinal discomfort can result from the body processing and removing all of the extra, unused protein.

Study on Aminogen
The Laboratory of Nutrition and Nutritional Biochemistry, University of Yaounde I, Cameroon, conducted a clinical study on Aminogen. This study tracked the increases in protein absorption, nitrogen retention, and blood CRP reduction in subjects who were first given a protein supplement without Aminogen, and then later given a protein supplement with Aminogen. Each subject served as their own control. 
Two groups of healthy males were assigned a specific balanced diet during all legs of the study. Each subject was dosed with 50 grams of whey protein concentrate (WPC) following an overnight fast. Nine days later the groups were again dosed with 50 grams of WPC following an overnight fast, but this time the protein contained 2.5g of Aminogen for one group or 5g of Aminogen for the other. 
After each WPC dosing, blood samples were taken every 30 minutes for 4 hours to assess blood protein, nitrogen, and CRP levels. 
They study found that almost all individual amino acid blood levels, excluding glycine, histidine, methionine, and serine, were significantly higher in the second dosing compared to the first. Nitrogen levels were also much higher and CRP levels were reduced. 
The significant differences were only seen between the control trial and the Aminogen test trial. The difference between the group that received 2.5g of Aminogen and the group that received 5g of Aminogen was not significant.
The study was published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. Although it was funded by Triarco Industries, the manufacturers of Aminogen, “none of the researchers have any financial interests concerning the outcome of this investigation and the results do not constitute an endorsement by the authors and/or their institutions concerning [Aminogen].”
